Program Introduction

Technological developments in the field of sports, the successes observed in international organizations thanks to these developments, and the great importance that sports have gained in today's societies make management in this field significant. When sports activities are evaluated in terms of regional, national, and international effectiveness, the need for qualified human resources also emerges. Nişantaşı University Sports Management Program continues its work in this direction with its theoretical and practical education program and contributes to its graduates having a career in the field of sports management. Our program contributes to the training of individuals who have the ability to manage and direct within the framework of a contemporary sports management approach, who can communicate well with people, who enjoy working as a team, who are responsible, who are proficient in technology, who can carry this skill to success in practice, and who have the professional skills to evaluate all these features in sports management activities.

 

 

Opportunities Provided to Students

There are 16 classrooms in our program for the conduct of lessons. All our classrooms have projection devices. There are 2 computer laboratories. In addition, there is 1 amphitheater. Moreover, our school has a library, cafeteria, and canteen. 

Our vocational school has sufficient infrastructure and capacity to sustain the education of all programs in terms of the building and has the local and environmental support, which is the greatest need of the vocational school.

Students studying in our program will be able to fulfill their internship conditions within the district or in businesses in their hometowns during the holiday period according to the provisions of the regulation. Students can do internships in all sectors serving the public-private sector.

Our students who graduate from the sports management program can pursue their professional careers in the central and provincial organizations of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports, in sports clubs in amateur and professional leagues, in the culture and sports departments of municipalities, in the tourism sector, in private sports facilities, in sports consultancy, in athlete training centers, in private sports courses, and in media services. As an opportunity for advancement in the profession, it is possible to transition from amateur clubs to professional clubs based on the success shown in the job. For those working in public institutions, it is possible to advance by taking titles such as Deputy Director, Director, Provincial Director, Department Head, etc.

About Courses

During the education process; after general field knowledge such as Law, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Recreation, Computer, Business Administration, courses specific to the sports field such as Sports Law, Sports Marketing, Sports Economics, Sports Management, Risk Management in Sports, Sports Facility Management, Turkish Sports Organization and Management Structure, Sports and Media, Entrepreneurship in Sports are offered. Additionally, elective courses are offered in various fields, providing students studying in the Sports Management associate degree program the opportunity to develop themselves in areas they are interested in.
