REMOTE EDUCATION USER GUIDE

1) The midterm exams of "Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi I" and "Türk Dili I" courses will be held on the same day.

2) For both courses, the exams in the Remote Education System will be active at 09:00. On the same day at 22:00 will end. The student can log into the system at any time within the specified time frame and take their exams. After starting the exam, the "Exam Durations" begin. As much as the relevant course's Instructor determines the exam duration, "after the student starts the exam," the exam duration ends after that time passes. You must answer all questions within the time frame determined by the Instructor.

3) If a student cannot take the exam on the exam day due to an excuse, they must apply to our Academic Unit with a "Petition for Excuse" as in regular courses, and if the board of directors deems it appropriate, the procedure for conducting a "Make-up Exam" for the student is applied. After notifying the Academic Unit of the students who will take the Make-up Exam to the "Remote Education Application and Research Center," you can participate in the Make-up Midterm Exam.

4) For Remote Education Courses, the "Remote Education Application and Research Center" has determined the Make-up Midterm Exam Day as Friday, December 14, 2018. The exam time range is again 09:00 – 22:00.

5) If you experience any issues during the midterm exam, you can get support by writing your problem to the email address uzak@mehmetakif.edu.tr . To participate in the midterm exam, you need to log in to the web address “ http://uzak.mehmetakif.edu.tr ” with your Student Information System (OBS) account information.

6) The midterm exam will be remote (online). The final exam will be held in our school, in a classroom environment.

7) The impact of the remote (online) midterm exam on the grade average is 20%, and the final exam is 80%.

COURSE ATTENDANCE

1. Attendance is mandatory in the courses “Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi 1”, “Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi 2”, “Türk Dili 1” and “Türk Dili 2”.

2. You can attend the course live or watch the course recording later from the recording.

3. Students who want to watch the course from the recording must watch the recorded course by the next live broadcast to not be counted as absent.

4. The midterm exam will be conducted electronically (remotely), the Final and Make-up Exams will be conducted physically (in a Classroom Environment).

5. You can attend live courses from your computer, smart mobile phone, and tablet. 6. On the Learning Management System Page, Username: “Your Student Number” Password: “OBIS Password” is written to log into the Learning Management System. (OBIS Account Information will be used as Username and Password.)
